    Pouring bottled beer

Here's how beer becomes a unclouded joy.

  Protect beer from the sun

Bottled beer should be protected from the sun, as glaring light can affect taste! This is why beer bottles are usually made of dark glass, which partially protects the beer by filtering light.

The ideal serving temperature

The ideal temperature for lager beer lies between 7 and 9 degrees Celsius (44.6 and 48.2 degrees Fahrenheit), which is generally the same temperature as the everyday refrigerator. Beer should not be warmed or cooled too fast - that also diminishes the taste: Hot water and ice chests are taboo!

Clean glasses for clean beer

Beer glasses must be absolutely free of dirt and oil. Oil destroys the foam and makes the beer stale. After washing, rinse glasses thoroughly with fresh water so that all soap residue is rinsed away.

Correct pouring

Filling a glass, one needs to tilt the beer and the glass towards one another and pour the beer until the head has reached the top of the glass. Let the beer sit for a while, so the head can settle. Then pour as much as necessary in until you have a nice creamy head.
